Organizational Note
Just an organizational note: In light of recent events we have been swamped with the opinions of our readers. I (and I assume the other guys here at Punknews) believe that a healthy part of the scene is letting the readers participate in submitting and commenting on the news. However the best way to leave your comment is to use the "Comment" section that follows each article.
It is difficult to decide what is "news" and what to post. By submitting your opinions as "news," then that puts us in the position where we have to act as censors (for several reasons, i.e.: space on the page, relevance, our own views). We don’t want to be censors. By leaving your opinion as a "comment," we cannot and do not delete or edit the opinions in any way. Please feel free to participate in discussions, and try not to submit your opinions as news. I have included the last batch of Rants in the READ MORE section of this article.
more terroism stuff
What American's don't realize is the we have, and are, executing Pearl Harbors all over the world. We attacked Afghanistan with 75 cruise missiles without warning. We have our soldiers in about 100 nations in the world, yet in only one, Korea, are we actually facing a military force. We have been bombing Iraq for ten years. We have armed soldiers in the Balkans suppressing civilians, not fighting soldiers. We are the most violent, domineering, and suppressive organization in the world today. We support or have supported, politically and financially, some of the most repressive regimes in the world. We are the leading light of the WTO, which is destroying the citizen and worker economies throughout the third world, where we have forced the privatization of water resources. Our industries lead in the building more low wage factories than any other country. Try to see the U.S. through the eyes of a citizen of the third world and you can understand why we are hated. Today, in a discussion with a friend, we tried to think of one nation where the U.S. is engaged in constructive, positive work. We found none. There is a lesson in that. Is it any wonder we are the most hated nation in the world? Until we can correct that condition, we will continue to suffer from terrorists acts such as the World Trade Center bombing and today's action in New York and Washington D.C. We can either concentrate on revenge and retaliation, or we can seek the real cause of the attack. Only by correcting the cause can we hope for peace. Retaliation is useless. There are literally millions who hate us enough to die if they can damage the U.S. We cannot stop them. But we can stop doing the things that bring that level of hatred. That is our only chance. Some of you may remember I predicted an attack before November of this year. I was right.Worse, I fully expect a nuclear detonation right around the beginning of the Star Wars first radar coming on line, a lesson from the world to the U.S. that a missile defense will not protect us. When we seek to become the only nation on earth capable of launching a nuclear attack with invulnerability, we become the active enemy and target of every nation which has the smallest reason to fear us. If Bush succeeds with Star Wars, we can dictate the smallest item to any country in the orld. We will control the world, for all practical purposes. And they won't tolerate that. China, for example, cannot allow the U.S. to reach such a nuclear safe status. They have openly stated they view us as an active enemy and that they expect, at some time in the future, to be at war with us. It is not conceivable that they will allow the U.S. to take total control of the nuclear field of battle. If forced, they will strike first to avoid it. They would have to. This is not the end of terrorist strikes in the U.S. This is the beginning, and it will only get worse unless we change our ways and reduce the cause of those actions.

listen, and don't be arrogant…
i'm sorry if you're fed up with the plane-crash-related-rant, but here's just my view. well, it is sad that thousands (right?) of innocent victims died because of terrorism acts, and apparently nothing good came from it. BUT, please, all you street punks, skins, rudies, and all other subcultures, be aware that mr. president WILL use this as a propaganda to bomb the shit outta some third world countries (namely iraq, palestine, afghanistan, and all other helpless nations) and the army's gonna kill even many more victims, and surely the media will not publicize it as great as the wtc plane crash. Indeed, we should respect the dead, but the way to do it is not by conforming the the gov't or fbi. We all know that they're just a bunch of media bullshit, right? you can always donate some cash or blood, that would help the victims much much greater than running after scapegoats. please don't be a racist and join other ignorant bastards who are harrasing the arab and muslims. it's not even a fact yet that the plane crash was because of the muslims, it's just a theory by the fbi. should we assist them (the fbi and gov't) to find who was the dude behind all this? in a way, sure. But don't be like them, spreading rummor all over the world that now make everyone thinks arab-islam = racist terrorists. Please, i suggest you to read some neutral news about the plane crash, or news from the scapegoats point of view. we have to stand as one, all americans, arabs, humans, to fight terrorism. and keep the flag upside down, a symbol to show that we won't tolerate US aggresions against children of iraq, palestine, afghanistan, and other oppressed countries.
What should the U.S. do?:
Not really news, but something everyone should read.
