The Promise Ring Sign to Anti-
: Well, it's been rumored for ages that The Promise Ring signed to Epitaph, but it's just been confirmed on Jade Tree's site -- TPR have signed to Anti- [home of Tom Waits, Buju Banton etc.] and will release their new album in the Spring of 2002.
Here's the official news from Jadetree.com:
After 6 years and 8 releases, pop/rock pioneers The Promise Ring have left Jade Tree and signed a worldwide contract with the Anti- label, a division of Epitaph Records. The Milwaukee-based band will release their fourth full-length album on Anti- (through their Foreign Leisure imprint) in Spring 2002. Anti- is also home to such cutting edge artists as Tom Waits, Merle Haggard, Tricky and Muggs.
