Joshua calls it quits; the Go-Ahead rises from the ashes
Off the official Joshua website:
"For those of you who didnt see the last update, Joshua has decided to call it quits for good. I wanted to let everyone know that this site will stay up for the time being as home for a new band featuring Dan and Keith from Joshua called the Go-Ahead. Currently the Go-Ahead is searching for a record label and finishing up the writing process on a record that will hopefully surface sometime later this year. Eventually, the address for the Go-Ahead will become www.the Go-Ahead.com once the band is up and running. Thanks to all of Joshua's supporters and friends, and hopefully fans of Joshua will take the time to check out our new band when the time comes. Be safe and thanks again."
This sucks, Joshua was one of the few bands out there really making good music for themselves, not for some trend or anything [ahem, I'm looking in Vagrant and Drive-Thru's direction]. This might hinder their final full-length that was scheduled to come out on Immigrant Sun Records this fall, as they were supposed to finish their recording sessions after their tour. If you feel so inclined, you can read a review of Joshua's latest EP here. And keep an eye out for the Go-Ahead...
Let me add one thing. For the record, this site as a whole has nothing against Vagrant. I like a lot of their releases; on the flipside. Scott doesn't. That's ok, and there is nothing inherently wrong with presenting an opinon. Anyone who thought they were reading CNN put up their hand? No? Well, this is just a bunch of people talking about music they love. Of course there is a bias. - Aubin
