Sound Scene Revolution on temporary hiatus for a week
Bay Area podcast Sound Scene Revolution has announced they may be delayed a couple of weeks before posting a new episode. The host, Rich (or better known as dante3000, recently posted an update on their Myspace blog explaining the unusual circumstances surrounding the delays:
what happened is that Sound Guy Nariman plays in a grown men's softball league (don't ask me why) and happened to get railed in the face by an overly ambitious shortstop looking to throw him out at first. He had to undergo major reconstructive face surgery that required the use of titanium to hold all the fractured bones together.
The down side of this is that we may be out of commission for another couple of weeks. The upside is that Sound Guy Nariman is now, in his own words, "Half-man, half-awesome".
The podcast hopes to resume new shows by no later than October 24 and promises to handle any contests already in effect.
Anyone wishing to offer sympathy or support to Sound Guy Nariman is encouraged to do so through the podcast's Myspace site or through e-mail. Punknews.org wishes Sound Guy Nariman a speedy and quick recovery.
