Tours: Bloc Party (UK)
Bloc Party have unveiled a UK tour to coincide with their upcoming sophomore full length. The record is titled A Weekend in the City and is due out February 6th, 2007. The album follows up the band's acclaimed debut, Silent Alarm as well as the aptly titled companion remix album, Silent Alarm Remixed.
Besides the band's obvious post-punk influences, the band claims influence from "the living noise of a metropolis," as well as the music of Philip Glass, Timbaland, Aaliyah, and Bartok.
In the mean time, you can catch them performing for what are possibly some very confused Panic! At the Disco fans on their ongoing tour.
