Chris Chasse leaves Rise Against, Zach Blair (Only Crime) steps in

Rise Against has announced the departure of guitarist Chris Chasse. Chasse joined the band in 2004 after the departure of Todd Mohney, who in turn replaced Dan Wleklinski.

Chasse had this to say:

Rise Against was the best three years of my life. I've met so many
amazing people and been all over the world with the best friends anyone
could ask for. I'll never stop writing or playing music. Thank you to
everyone over the past few years for all of the love and support.

The band explained that Chasse's departure had to do with their extensive touring schedule. To that end, the band has enlisted guitarist Zach Blair, of Only Crime.

Starting tonight, the band will be touring with My Chemical Romance in support of their new album, The Sufferer & the Witness.
