Torche announces release of remixed vinyl, new EP, tour dates
Torche has announced some of their plans for the next few months. The band, which includes former members of No Idea Records act Floor, and Cavity, released their debut via Robotic Empire in 2005.
The band is beginning their supporting run on Isis' ongoing headlining tour tonight, and have released their remixed, remastered version of their self-titled debut. The full length will be available on the tour as a deluxe gatefold vinyl LP. The entire album has been re-mixed from the ground
up and now features an additional track originally recorded during the
same session. The CD version of this will hit stores later this summer
through Rock Action in Europe, and as a 2xCD in North America through
Robotic Empire featuring both the new remixed version as disc 1 and the
untreated original mix as disc 2.
Around the same time Robotic Empire will issue the long-delayed "In
Return" EP, which was recently completed through Southern Noise Studios
in Miami and mastered by Nick Zampiello at New Alliance East in Boston.
Originally planned to be a two-song 7", the six track EP will be issued
as a 10"+CD... which is to say that the release will have both digital
and analog formats available together. This was done to ensure that the
intense artwork created by John Baizley will mainly be experienced in
the large gatefold 10" format. A mastered song from the release can be found on their myspace page.
