The Methadones recording and hoping for a June release, touring plans
The Methadones are back in the studio. The Chicago power-pop-punkers are tracking Matt Allison (Sundowner, Alkaline Trio, Holy Roman Empire) at Atlas in their hometown and currently have 15 tracks that they'll be whittling down into a full-length. The band is hoping to get the album out in June and they'll be once again working with San Francisco's Red Scare Industries. This is their first album of original songs for the label after last year's 21st Century Power Pop Riot, which was full of cover songs.
To support the album, they'll be heading out on the previously mentioned with labelmates the Copyrights. After that, they'll be hitting the west coast with the Queers and the Manges from Italy. This is scheduled to include a couple dates in Canada.
They'll also be making a stop at the Insubordination Records Pop Punk fest in July in Baltimore and are already planning a trip to Gainesville for this year's incarnation of the Fest.
