The Black Lips declared "hardest working band at SXSW", New York Times posts live video
The New York Times recently declared psychedelic garage rockers the Black Lips, the "hardest working band at SXSW" and put together a eight-minute featurette on the band.
The band recently produced a new live album, Los Valentes Del Mundo Nuevo. It was recorded by Mr. John Reis (of Drive Like Jehu, Rocket From The Crypt and Hot Snakes) live in Tijuana. The release doubles
as an enhanced CD complete with live footage featuring "interviews,
pills, tacos, hookers, Mexicans, tequila, and a donkey painted like a
zebra." It follows up 2005's In The Red released Let It Bloom.
