Tours: John Doe on the road supporting "A Day in the Wilderness" / Knitters dates
X frontman John Doe will release A Year In The Wilderness on June 12th on Yep Rock. The record was co-produced by Doe and Dave Way, recorded at the Way Station in Los Angeles. Like his previous solo effort Forever Hasn't Happened Yet, the album will feature a number of geust musicians. The record will feature apperances by Black Keys guitarist Dan Auerbach, pedal steel player Greg Leisz and vocalists Aimee Mann, Jill Sobule and Kathleen Edwards.
Doe will hit the road in June to support the record. In addition, X country side-project the Knitters will hit the road in April and May. That band features Doe with X co-vocalist Exene Cervenka, drummer D.J. Bonebrake, Blasters' guitarist Dave Alvin and upright bassist Jonny Ray Bartel.
