Vinyl File: Vinyl File: Alkaline Trio, mewithoutYou, Bomb the Music Industry!, Ampere, Tim Barry
Welcome to the inaugural edition of our new column, Vinyl File. With a growing interest in buying/collecting records, we hope to keep you informed with what's out there so you can get it now and don't have to sell everything you own to buy it on eBay seven years down the road. All the magic comes courtesy of our resident vinylphile (get it now?) Ben Conoley.
There are quite a few interesting bits of wax hitting streets in the next little while, including material from Alkaline Trio, mewithoutYou, Bomb the Music Industry!, Ampere, Tim Barry and more.
You can click Read More for the dates.
First up, Vagrant is set to release the second Alkaline Trio collection, Remains. The limited 2xLP comes in a gatefold cover and ships on July 31. For those of us on the Western side of the Atlantic Ocean, it's an import, so be prepared to shell out for shipping.
The debut release from Heavens. Patent Pendingfeatures Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio and Josiah Steinbrick, best known for his work in Thieves Like Us. Patent Pending will be limited to 1,000 copies, each of which will be hand-numbered copies. It's out on August 21, but pre-orders are being taken from Number Nine Sounds.
Deathwish Inc. will be releasing the new 3 song self-titled 7" from Rise and Fall. The band's follow-up to Into Oblivion is available for pre-order now and comes in three colors, one of which is only going to be available on tour.
Suburban Home Records has four releases available for pre-order, all of which will be shipping towards the end of summer. They are all ultra-limited and have slik-screened cover art.
First up is a split between Drag the RIver and The Dents. Found All the Parts features both bands doing the same four songs, for a total of eight tracks. 100 copies are available on white vinyl and 200 are available on red vinyl.
