Music: Public Serpents: "Suburban Dreams"
At this point, my week feels empty without a new Public Serpents track. Thankfully Skwert and company have posted "Suburban Dreams" on their MySpace to help me out. The track is "an ode to Jersey's safe and clean grid to die a perfect life in" and follows "the Killing Jar," "Driller Killer," "Seeing Double" and is featured on their demo which is now available for order from the band.
The Serpents are the newest project from NYC squatscian Skwert who has spent time in bands such as Choking Victim, INDK and American Distress. A label for their release is still undetermined, but they're self–releasing their demo via Tent City Records.
The album promises a merger of dancehall reggae, punk and ska akin to "Choking Victim, INDK, Operation Ivy, The Specials, American Distress, The Clash, Misfits, Bucaneer and Buju Banton."
