Pixies, Cars, Judas Priest to have full albums in "Rock Band"
The Pixies' classic album, Doolittle is one of the first three albums that will appear in their entirety in the popular video game, Rock Band. Along with The Cars' self–titled album and Judas Priest's Screaming for Vengeance, the albums will be available for play in the popular multi–user game.
The release of full albums via the system is an interesting development, particularly because of how popular singles on the service have been. As of last month, more than six million songs had been sold via Rock Band, at $1.99 per track, suggesting that this may be more than some bonus content for a game, but a potential new model for selling music on the Internet.
In terms of singles, the game boasts songs from The Ramones, The Clash, The Police, Weezer, Fall Out Boy, Metallica, Beastie Boys, Coheed & Cambria, Foo Fighters, Killers, At the Gates and of course, Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld.
