What is your name and what do you do in The Hottness?
I am Adam and I am the vocalist.
For those unfamiliar with the band, tell us a bit about The Hottness? How did you guys come together?
We're a punk metal band, we're all into punk rock and metal. If you listen to us, you'll hear a lot of classic rock, too. For us to come together, it took about a four year period, we went through a few lineup changes in there. Then we met Kyle, our guitarist, and after 4 years we've all come together.
How is your current tour going?
Yesterday was the last day. The artery tour was amazing, it was pretty much what we all wanted. We have no complaints with it.
You guys just signed with Ferret music in February, what does this mean for the future of the band?
I think it will let us progress more. It's good to know that we've got a good label that is going to get our music heard.
What was the writing process like for your most recent album, Stay Classy?
It was just sitting in a room and racking our brains. We locked ourselves away and lost our minds.
There's been a lot of talk about the future of the music industry, what steps will you take to get noticed?
We're just going to try and be an honest an original band. I think we have a sound that's noticeable. If we do sound like another band it's probably a coincidence, because to be honest with you, none of us listen to the music that's out there today.
What are you guys planning now that your tour is done?
We'll be on tour for the rest of the year. After that, we are going to start working on the new album.
