Ashtray releases "Operation Ivy" covers record

Santa Rosa, CA's Ashtray have planned a special live album titled Operation Ashtray. The disc will feature an entire set
of Operation Ivy covers recorded at Danny from
href="http://www.punknews.org/bands/secretions">The Secretions'
"Lame Ass Birthday Bash." The entire event was a benefit for The American
Cancer Society.

The band's label, Silver Sprocket, had the show professionally recorded, and have just
released a live album of their entire set, with all profits being
donated to The American Cancer Society. The album is a limited
pressing of 1,000 CDs with a fold-out poster insert containing photos
from the show, personal messages and lyrics, available now for $5 from
the Silver
Sprocket store.
