Dropkick Murphys, Bosstones, No Use For A Name comment on Obama victory
In the wake of Illinois senator Barack Obama's historic win of the U.S. presidency on Tuesday, Alternative Press has collected the thoughts of over 15 musicians, including Dicky Barrett of the The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Wil Francis of Aiden, Al Barr of Dropkick Murphys, Fred Mascherino of The Color Fred, Tony Sly of No Use For A Name, Shane Told of Silverstein, Jonah Matranga of Far, Jeffree Star and more.
Dicky Barrett noted:
feel like the world is now a better place, and a large chunk of my faith in my country has been restored. I don't think we made a good choice, I think we made a great choice. I'm looking forward to living in a country where the guy who runs it is smarter than I am.
Will Francis of Aiden adds:
Finally some fucking hope.
