Matt Skiba to record for solo album this month

After Asian Man Records recently confirmed that Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba was planning a new solo album comes the news that recording for the album is imminent. Matt posted this on his MySpace page:

So it is definitely happening. I will be recording a new solo album at the end of August. Not sure of a release date yet, but it's happening. Asian Man Records will be releasing the new record. It's nice to be back with family.

Alkaline Trio will be self-releasing their next album after a short stay with Sony BMG. Matt's previous solo release was a split CD with Kevin Seconds.
