Long Island punk film to get DVD release
Between Community and Resistance, a 2001 documentary about the Long Island punk scene is set to be released on DVD. The movie, originally only available on VHS, focuses on the city's DIY scene and contains interviews and live footage of Latterman, On the Might of Princess, The Insurgent, Seven Days of Samsara as well as other contributors to the scene. The DVD also contains footage that didn't appear in the film's original release. The New York Times called the movie "Bright, articulate and self critical".
