Punknews Fest coverage preview

The Fest 8 is nigh! This coming weekend will see an incredible number of punk bands both big and small descend on Gainesville, FL for a weekend of rock, debauchery and beards. A tiny fraction of the lineup includes bands like Snuff, 7 Seconds, Less Than Jake, Youth Brigade, Dillinger Four Samiam, A Wilhelm Scream, Strike Anywhere and Gunmoll, but that isn't even scratching the surface. Over the years the Fest has become one of the most important punk music events in North America, and we're thrilled to be one of the sponsors this year.

We've got numerous staffers on the ground so here's what you can expect from Punknews in the coming days.

• Members of the editorial, review and interview staff will be sending us updates throughtout the day. We'll summarize those into digests and post them as articles here.
• We'll have play by play info flowing through the @punknews Twitter account.
• Not to reveal too much, but we're expecting some hotel room acoustic performances will be coming your way.
• Newly wheelchair bound news editor Bryne plans regular mixed media dispatches.
• Community manager Justin will have a big bag of Punknews shirts to give away.
