MOG launches "All Access Music" for $5
MOG has launched a new "all-access music subscription" service. The service costs $5.00 and features "millions" of tracks from major-label and indie artists. Unlike free services, the system is ad-free, and claims to be better than similar services from "Rhapsody, Pandora and iTunes"
The system competes with free on-demand streaming from Spotify and MySpace rather than more a la carte offerings from iTunes. While we haven't reviewed the service yet, a quick random sampling of music in the system included Jawbox, NOFX, Snapcase, two albums from A Wilhelm Scream, the three Epitaph Records releases from Hot Water Music, Paramore, Against Me! and full catalogues from major label signed bands like Green Day and The Clash.
Though we didn't try every artist, the only one that appeared to completely stump the system was material from Fugazi and the Dischord Records releases.
