New Found Glory vocalist's mother raising money for heart transplant
New Found Glory vocalist Jordan Pundik, his family and most importantly, his mother, are the subject of a new report on the Huffington Post. As the health care debate continues to rage in the United States, Pundik's mother, Maureen, had an infection that was severely weakening her heart and left it with only 10 percent of its functionality.
Doctors have told Waters' family that a heart transplant will save her life, but the expensive procedure may be out of range, as she was recently laid off from her job at a mortgage company and no longer has health insurance. The family is trying to raise money through donations to pay for the expensive and live saving procedure. They have launched a website, helpmendaheart.com and have currently raised more than $25,000.
