Distillers to be "heard first" by MTV
Straight from the fine folks at Epitaph:
"L.A.-based, Melborne-bred, singer-guitarist Brody Armstrong and her cohorts Andy and Ryan of THE DISTILLERS will be making their national television debut next week. On Tuesday, June 25 and Wednesday, June 26, THE DISTILLERS will be featured on MTV's popular news segment "You Hear It First." The segment will follow the band from their first Hellcat Records release, 2000's self-titled Distillers, to their latest album Sing Sing Death House, released earlier this year. THE DISTILLERS also recently completed their first video for the track "The Young Crazed Peeling," a rollicking, singsong autobiography off Sing Sing Death House. Directed by songwriter and lead singer Brody Armstrong, the video features the three piece showing off their raw, energetic live performance as well as scenery from the band's local digs around Hollywood. The clip for "The Young Crazed Peeling" was accepted for airplay on MTV2's Rock Show this week."
