The Offspring to begin work on new album

"The Offspring will begin to work on the follow up to 2000's 'Conspircy of One' when they return from playing the Reading Festival in late August. They will probably pick Dave Jerden (Ixnay On The Hombre, Americana) or Brendan O'Brian (Conspiracy of One) to produce the album. They also plan to start touring in January. The band is playing a show July 25th at the Anaheim House of Blues to raise money for SCI Research Advancement and Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation. Funds are also earmarked for related research to find cures for such diseases as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. Tickets for this show sold out in 2 mins. The Offspring have sold 32 million albums worldwide to date."
