Sum 41's Deryck Whibley attacked, hospitalized in Japan
Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley had to be hospitalized in Japan after being attacked by three people in a bar late last night. The Canadian pop-punk band has reported that following an MRI scan the singer was diagnosed with a slipped disc in his back. Despite the doctor's advice to the contrary, the band is expected to play their planned sets at the in-progress Summersonic festival.
Further details on the attack are currently unknown.
