New Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds record planned for 2011

While he and his musical collaborators are currently sporting their Grinderman persona to support that band's new record Grinderman 2, Nick Cave has revealed that a new Bad Seeds record is planned for 2011. The iconoclastic Australian musician told Spinner:

There will be a new Bad Seeds record next year... I haven't written anything yet, but that's not how I go about things anyway. I have the starting date for the next record and that's when I go into the office and start it. I'm not doing that until I've finished the Grinderman tour, which is amazing. The band is something else.

Grinderman 2 came out in September on Anti-. The Bad Seeds, which features the same principals, last released Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! in 2008, also on Anti-.
