Here's your question and answer of the week from the Punknews Formspring:
Q:
When were you upset the most about a band member leaving, and why?
A:
When Nate Albert left the Bosstones during the recording of "Pay Attention" it broke my heart. The band had been through a lot after their fairly meteoric rise. Nate had long been a primary songwriter and his guitar riffs and tone really anchored the band, regardless of where they were at at a particular time. After hearing Pay Attention it sounded like a band falling apart and running on steam. Even though Lawrence Katz is an amazing guitarist, nothing sounds quite like Nate ripping through the opening chords of "Devil's Night Out" or his freakishly clean upstroke in"The Impression That I Get."
