"Swedish hardcore band D.S.-13 have announced their break up:
'As of Wednesday 28th of August 2002, D.S.-13 (a.k.a. Demon System 13) has ceased to exist as a band. The break-up is final. There will be no last record, no last tour and no last show. The reasons behind the split are personal and are of no concern to anyone outside the band. So please do not e-mail and ask "what happened".
The release of the collection CD No one is going to thank you when you are dead on Deranged will go ahead as planed. This will be our final release and it should be out within a month.
During these six years as a band we made a decent amount of enemies, but we also made @!#$ loads of friends all over the world. We want to thank all of you who supported us, helped out and spread the word. What started as a joke amongst a bunch of bored and frustrated friends, managed to do more than any of us ever thought possible. Two U.S. tours, three European tours, countless mini-tours across Sweden, seven 7" EPs, two albums, tapes, compilation tracks… Thanks to all of you who made this possible.
Busted Heads Records & Distro will carry on as usual. www.ds13.com will be up and running for some time, so the label and distro will continue to be based at that address. It will eventually get a website of its own, but all in due time.
Thank you to all our friends, you know who you are.
Fukk you to all our enemies, you know who you are.
Stay hardcore."
