Original Sex Pistols acetate breaks $23k in eBay bidding
What Sells Best is reporting that an ongoing auction for the Sex Pistols' God Save the Queen on rare acetate has reached £14,600.0 (Approximately US $23,745.44) via eBay. There are still two days left on the auction so it remains uncertain how high it could go. The seller described the 10-inch as follows:
This is for a 100% genuine acetate of the Sex Pistols God Save The Queen. This is not a copy, South African or a dodgy A&M but the real deal. A UK 7" cut onto 10" one sided Townhouse acetate, possibly the only surviving one in existance. [...] Acetates should only be played to a minimum so i will include the recording of the acetate in the sale as well.
