Turbonegro return with new vocalist
Norwegian "deathpunk" outfit Turbonegro have announced a return to action, along with a new vocalist. Previous frontman Hank Von Helvete (pictured to the left) exited the band in 2009 to "to pursue a career in acting, the Church of Scientology and goth rock" and now fronts Oslo-based Doctor Midnight and The Mercy Cult.
The band has since reformed with new vocalist Tony Sylvester, who was previously Turbonegro's UK press official, not to mention the president of the London chapter of the group's fan club. He'll make his live debut with Turbonegro at the Turbojugend World Days fan club convention in Hamburg, Germany on July 15. They're currently working on a follow-up to 2007's Retox.
