Here's your question and answer of the week from the Punknews Formspring:

Q: Which band do you think has "progressed" the most from their 1st album til their last (or current) in terms of sound?

A:
Off the top of my head, Thrice. I know a lot of our readers miss the days when they played faster, but a lot of those same readers are probably among those that criticize Pennywise for making the same album over and over again. Their evolution as a band has been wholly unexpected and quite interesting, and I personally can't wait to hear 'Major/Minor'.

A slightly more Org-friendly answer might be The Copyrights. Each album has been pretty different from the one that came before it, but it's all been rooted in the same genre which is harder to accomplish than it sounds.
