MCA / Victory deal falls apart

After a week of rumours various press sites are getting confirmation that MCA
will not be purchasing a portion of Victory
records. Although many had believed the transaction had completed, the deal
appears to have collapsed. There is no official word on what caused the rift
between MCA and the Chicago based indie.
The originally reported deal was that MCA
would acquire a non-controlling 25% interest of Victory.
This followed a bidding war with Columbia.
