The Menzingers discuss new album
The Menzingers were just featured in AP's Most Anticipated 2012 concerning their highly anticipated new album for Epitaph Records. You can find the report right here. The band worked with Matt Allison (Alkaline Trio, Less Than Jake) at Atlas Sound and a release is expected sometime during their upcoming tour with Rise Against and A Day to Remember.
Co-frontman (and occasional solo artist/car accident participant) Tom May noted:
We've spent more time on the writing and recording processes of this record than anything we've done in the past. The songs are a little more thought out and we're really happy with the results. We got our hands on a few guitar pedals and fucked around with some studio tricks. There's a few more mid-tempo jams and some stuff we always wanted to do but haven't had the time or the togetherness to pull off. Overall, we had a blast and Matt Allison really brought the best out of us. I can't wait for our friends to hear it.
The band last released Chamberlain Waits in 2010. It was Punknews.org Readers' second favorite album of that year.
