Members of Weezer, Queens of the Stone Age form animated band with Simpson director
Rolling Stone is reporting that Velvet Revolver guitarist Dave Kushner has assembled a new project that seems inspired by Damon Albarn of Blur's Gorillaz. The group, called Pusher Jones is a collaboration between Kushner and The Simpsons creative director Dave Warren.
Other musicians participating in the project include Frankie Perez (Camp Freddy, Scars On Broadway), bassist Scott Shriner (Weezer) and drummer Joey Castillo (Queens of the Stone Age.) The band is planning release their first single, "Count Me Out," on May 1st digitally and it will also appear on the The Avengers movie soundtrack.
