Winnipeg label War On Music goes up in flames
A fire broke out today in a historic building housing independent music collective and record label War on Music. The business is part of the Albert Street Business Block, which contains one of Winnipeg's oldest dwellings. The small strip has a few tiny storefronts built in the 1940s attached to a portion of a 135-year old house.
The label & collective has released albums from Evil Survives, Electro Quarterstaff, including re-issues from Razor, Sacrifice and most notably a split 7 inch with Winnipeg's Propagandhi and Toronto's Sacrifice.
