Green Day collaborates with Iggy Pop

The Tripwire is reporting that Berkeley punks Green Day are in the process of collaborating with the legendary Iggy Pop [you know, that guy who was on "Pete & Pete" as Nona's dad a couple times] on two songs for the singer's new record, due out sometime in the Spring of 2003. Iggy has also hooked up with ex-Stooges Scott and Ron Asheton for the recording sessions, the first time the trio had worked together since 1973's "Raw Power." No one's said if this is an official Stooges reunion yet, but all signs seem to be pointing to the affirmative. Stay tuned.
