Merry Christmas!
From all of us here at Punknews.org, we'd like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. 2002 has treated this site incredibly - we've grown beyond our farthest expectations, and we couldn't do it without you people who read our site everyday and tell your friends. We have never advertised anywhere before, our site's growth has all been by word of mouth. If you've ever told even one person about our website, you've helped keep us alive and motivated. We don't make money off of this webpage; this site is the definition of "labor of love." To all those who have ever written a review, submitted news, or just commented on a story - we appreciate it. If you've never done any of that before, what are you waiting for? Get involved! This site is 100% interactive, and we encourage all of you to become as active as possible.
2003 is going to be a big year for us - there's some big things in the pipeline. Please stay tuned, you never know what will happen next!
Aubin, Adam, Scott, Kip, and Hein
PS - Since a bunch of you have been asking, our staff Top 10 of 2002 lists will go up on New Years Eve. Please refrain from submitting user Top 10 lists to the reviews secton, as they will not be run [sorry, but we have to crack down sometime].
PPS - Remember what I said about this site being a labor of love, and that none of us get paid for it? Well, if you're feeling like rewarding us personally, Aubin, Adam and Scott all have Amazon.com wishlists, and while we won't look down on you for *not* buying us presents, we will declare that anyone who actually buys one of us something to be "punk," thus putting an end to what is punk and what isn't. Buy away!
