We had a lot of fun over the last 6 years and accomplished and saw more than we ever expected. We played shows in front of 4 kids to 40,000 and travelled all over the globe and met people who will be in our lives forever. For that, we have all of you to thank and it has only made this decision all that much harder.
Simply, its time for us to move on, get jobs and reconnect with our lives. Spending the better part of 6 years on the road and away from the people you love and shoving piles of bills to the side, thinking nothing matters but what moves you, but whats in front of you, capturing that feeling you can't get anywhere else, the reality is that it all catches up to you eventually. Some of us will be going back to 'real world' jobs, some of us are getting married, some of us will resurface in bands, but none of us will forget.
There's so much more I would like to say, but won't. Instead, I'll let the memories, both yours and mine, do the talking.
To the people in California, Chicago, Seattle, England and Japan and everywhere else we didn't get to see one last time, thank you for everything.
For the rest of you, we'll see you next week. It's going to be a lot of fun.
always,
Ian, Chris, Brendan and Bob
ps. Stay core.
