New Review Update: Bomb the Music Industry! is (really) DEAD! Part 1 of 2
Today brings the first of our two-part Bomb the Music Industry! is (really) DEAD! series. In this segment, our lovely readers write in to share their thoughts and differing perspectives on the epic last few Bomb the Music Industry! (and Biscuits) shows. With a bit of elbow grease, we were able to cover all four final shows!
The reflections on the shows include pieces where:
- Kate got to see the Long Island show AND the band in their Limp Bizkit alter-egos on Jan 16
- Matt saw BTMI!'s second to last show on Jan 17 and reflected on mortality
- Whereas, by contrast, Elisa met up with pals at the same show and had a good time
- At the VERY last show, on Jan 19, Jade talked about how BTMI! changed her life
- While Andrew had a bit of a saltier take on the whole thing
- As Martin reflected on the big picture
- Meanwhile, Faye talks about how it was her favorite show ever
- As a different Matt turned in a tradtional-style review
- And, Corey, in sort of a Billy Joel motif, starts his journey facing the Hudson river and ends it in the slam-pit
Stay tuned because soon we are going to run part 2, which will be a collection of pieces by people who weren't able to make the shows. Want to contribute? Awesome! There's still time! E-mail a 100 word-or-less piece to JohnG@punknews.org about what BTMI! means (meant?) to you.
