Simonon Refutes Clash Rumors
us that the surviving members of The Clash will NOT be playing any tribute at
the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony later this month. Bassist Paul Simonon

really haven't got anything planned." Strummer did mention possibly
performing prior to his death, but Simonson was opposed to the idea. "I
didn't have a chance to reply unfortunately, but I just wanted to let him know,
`Are you aware that the tickets are $1,500?... I think it's better for The Clash
to play in front of their public, rather than a seated and booted
audience." You can check out the full article here.
