TwoThirtyEight breaking up
that according to TwoThirtyEight's website, at the end of April they will ending their term as a band. Here is Chris Staples' official statement:
"we've had some pretty honest discussions in recent weeks about our personal goals. it has become obvious to us, for many reasons that it's time to put the twothirtyeight dinasuaur to bed. we've set out to accomplish certain things. some of our plans succeeded. some did'nt. rather than riding this band into the ground we've mutually decided to end things on a good note.
we've always prided ourselves on being an honest band (musically and otherwise). continuing to make music when we're no longer inspired to would be dishonest and ultimately pointless. i'm really proud of the music that we've have written and i feel bleesed to be a part of it, but locking ourselves into a format that we are no longer whole-hearted about is certain to stifle any creative spark. we feel compelled to move beyond this."
The band is currently on the road in the Midwest - click READ MORE for their remaining dates.
