Items stolen from PEARS' van

UPDATE- This article is 100% false. April fools!

Last night on their way to their Gainesville, Florida show with Teenage Bottlerocket, PEARS’ van was broken into and robbed. The band stated:

Hey Everyone, we have some very NOT RAD news. On our way from our Fayetteville, NC show with Teenage Bottlerocket to the Gainesville, FL show our van was completely robbed. Two of the van’s windows were completely shattered. What can we say? The money that was stolen is really just a drop in the bucket, nay, the ocean, of money that we owe to Ryan Young from Off With Their Heads for not only pressing our record, but purchasing every copy. We’re scrambling trying to figure things out right now. We’re all super pissed that all of our stuff was taken. We have called the cops and they are beginning to look into our case.

Here is an inventory of what we have missing:

• Alex’s Peavey T-60 bass (wood colored) & amp 8x10 cabinet and a Peavey amp head
• Brian’s Gibson SG (black) and amp set up - Marshall jcm 900 4100, w/ Marshall 1960a, and a Marshall 1960b cabinet,
• Brian’s pedal board, which has one Polytune 2 tuner, and a WayHuge Swollen Pickle octave fuzz pedal.
• Jarret’s 4 piece DW drum set,which has Zildjian cymbals.
• Zach’s Pikachu suit which keeps him nice and warm and feeling secure.
• 2 of our iPhones
• 2 Macbook Pro Laptops and power cables
• All of our cash we brought from home and made on the road.
• A lot of merch was taken, the rest was pretty much damaged beyond repair
• Power crystals that gave us our musical ability
• Our black Nintendo 64 with 4 controllers, two 64MB memory cards, and one booster pack, which kept us entertained for thousands of miles in between our US shows was stolen.

I guess the burglars didn’t want our TV with a built in VHS player because it was still in the van, but now it has a big crack that goes through the middle of the screen. So we’d like to give a sincere “FUCK YOU!” to whoever robbed us.
