Sunday Edition: Navel Gazing for January 24, 2016
Hello everyone and welcome to Navel Gazing: your look back in the week in Punknews. I'm Ricky Frankel and I'll be your guide through some of the juiciest, most popular and otherwise noteworthy stories from the last seven days. Remember, every Punknews story and review is built from tips from our wonderful, good-looking readers, so get to submitting a story, feel free to submit a review or if you are a photographer continue reading below. Here's what got the strange, slow and old community talking this week:
- Sadly, Blowfly has passed away.
- Teenage Bottlerocket announced their new drummer.
- PEARS announced their new bassist and their new album.
- NOFX gave us a studio update and details about their upcoming book.
- The Falcon gave us some more details about their upcoming album.
- At The Drive In has plans for new music and a world tour.
- Iggy Pop and Josh Homme have been recording an album together and they released a new song from it.
- Punknews exclusively streamed Mischief Brew’s new compilation and the band will be going on tour as well.
- Leftover Crack will be heading to Australia to do some touring.
With that, we hand over this Sunday evening to the Punknews community, where anything is possible, from the next amusing-then-overwrought meme, to the creation of bands and message boards, to alienating sports, movies, and beverages chatter. So talk amongst yourselves and we'll see you Monday morning.
