Sonic Iguana Studios severely damaged by plumbing mishap
Unfortunately, Sonic Iguana Studios in Lafayette has suffered a severe amount of damage. Run by Mass Giorgini (formerly of Screeching Weasel, Common Rider, and Squirtgun), the studio was damaged in a series plumbing mishaps. The studio was built in 1991 and has run continuously. Artists that have been recorded there include Rise Against, Anti-Flag, Alkaline Trio, the Groovie Ghoulies, the Queers, the Smoking Popes, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Mike Kennerty of the All-American Rejects, John Strohm of the Lemonheads, and Paul Mahern (Zero Boys, Iggy Pop, Toxic Reasons).
