Live Nation sued by Las Vegas shooting victims
On October 1, Stephen Paddock aimed a rifle out the window of his hotel and began firing upon a country music festival. Paddock then killed himself after killing 58 people and wounding hundreds more. Today, it was reported by Billboard that, following a wave of lawsuits filed by victims and family members of victims, more suits were filed naming Live Nation as a Defendant. Recently four new cases were filed in Los Angeles County Court by attorneys Chad Pinkerton and Mo Aziz. The new cases name multiple Defendants, including Live Nation, MGM Resorts International, and the Route 91 Harvest Festival concert venue. As per the complaints, the victims allege the event lacked “adequate exits or properly trained employees for when the crowd began trying to evacuate,” which exacerbated the damaged caused.
