Music: Pale Lips: "Don't Take Your Switchblade to New York" and "Old Flame"
We are pleased to bring to you a Punknews exclusive for Montreal based punk band Pale Lips. The video features a double feature of two tracks, "Don't Take Your Switchblade to New York" and "Old Flame" from their EP titled Should’ve Known Better, see below. The videos were directed by Davey Don’t with the use of oldschool analog effects to create a visually interesting and unique double video. "Don't Take Your Switchblade to New York" pays homage to the bands heros, Ramones video “I Wanna Be Sedated”. The groovy colours and effects for "Old Flame" was created with inspiration from 1970’s Canadian kiddie tv series, “The Hilarious House of Dr. Frightenstein”. Should’ve Known Better is available through Surfin Ki Records(Italy) and Resurrection Records(USA).
The band just finished recording their brand new LP with Ryan Battistuzzi and will be playing festivals this summer and fall, so keep your eyes out for more to come from Pale Lips.
