Today, Punknews is THRILLED to debut the new single by The Darts!
The Darts are a straight-up fierce-as-hell garage punk band that takes the fuzzed out crush of the Nuggets comp and inject a shot of Riot Grrrl perspective. Plus, they have a keyboard that would fit right at home in a haunted house. They're releasing a new single on the legendary Alternative Tentacles label this summer and on the 7-incher's two new tracks, the band gets down and dark and trippy and psyched-out and mean. This release is a smasher.
Speaking to Punknews, guitarist Michelle Balderrama said,"Subsonic Dream is a song I wrote about how powerful our minds can be - about being able to overcome our worst fears and things that have held us back in life. It's about breathing freedom." Vocalist Nicole Laurenne added,"We all fell in love with this song instantly when Michelle sent it to us. The riff is so memorable, and the harmonies are so delicious. We're psyched that Jello likes it as much as we do.”
