Cannibal Corpse guitarist arrested for burglary, assaulting police while his house blows up
On Monday night, Cannibal Corpse guitarist Pat O’Brien was arrested in Florida. He is alleged to have broken into a home, pushed a woman in the house down, ignored orders from the family to leave, and then moved into the backyard. Allegedly, Police found him hiding in the backyard with a knife when he charged at the police with the knife. He was incapacitated via Taser. Meanwhile, at just about that same time, police and firemen received a report that a home was on fire. The home was determined to be O'Brien's later, and to complicate matters, the fire was setting off explosive ammunition inside the home. The fire was stopped but the house was significantly damaged. Police and fire officials have not yet determined the cause of the fire. O'Brien is charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling with assault and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer. A Hillsborough County judge set bond at $50,000 Tuesday morning and O'Brien is required to complete a drug test before he's able to bond out of jail. Read the local report here.
