Chris Spencer leaves Unsane, starts Human Impact
Recently, Unsane frontman Chris Spencer stated that he has left the band. In an interview with Italian zine Equilibrio Precario (which is printed in Italian), Spencer stated that he would only be playing in his new band Human Impact going forward. Spencer then posted an English language post on the Equilibrio Precario Facebook page where he stated, "Just to clarify, I will not be playing in Unsane anymore. I’m super proud of what we accomplished, but I need to move on. I’d rather end it on a good note than be a slave to something I’ve always loved."
Human Impact includes Jim Coleman (Cop Shoot Cop), Phil Puleo (Cop Shoot Cop, Swans), and Chris Provdica (Swans). That band makes their live debut Friday at Union Pool in Brooklyn. The debut LP is expected out in 2020 via Ipecac, according to Spencer.
