pretty big news. we have made the decision to sign to a new record label: Island Def/Jam. we are pretty excited about it. We have been contemplating a move for awhile and have talked to a couple of different labels. While we are just bringing up this news we have been talking to them for awhile now. To our knowledge they are one of the most artist friendly labels around. It's really important for us to be involved with people who believe in our project and believe in us (as the record industry is full of snakes, its refreshing to find real people). what does this mean for fall out boy: it means we will get a wider distribution and be able to play in places we never thought we would (ie you will be able to find our record in nebraska), it also means we will not have to spend our time scrounging for money when we should be focusing our attention on writing a new record. What it DOES NOT mean: that we will compromise what we write or what we say. if you know us as people you know that we would never do that. the new songs we have been working on are fall out boy songs NOT songs written for the radio, NOT songs written for a label. we have had the option all along of working with larger labels and have decided to wait for the people who share the same ideals as us. we believe we have found them. we will be doing an interview with absolutepunk that will surely cover some of this: to ask questions please go over to absolutepunk.net - we have the belief in our fans/friends and know that they are willing to grow with us. thank you for your love and support.

as we value sincerity and honesty in both our music/lyrics and our actions we feel it is important to let everyone know what is going on. as fans of music we have been disappointed over the past years at the watered down turds we have had shoved down our throats. we believe that this will give us the chance to bring real music and real ideas back to the forefront where it belongs.

if we can do this, anyone can.
now the world will hear our story.
