MP3.com Earns a (semi) Reprieve
A follow up to our earlier story about MP3.com; the new owners, CNET are planning to launch a new service to "give independent artists an affordable way to build a market for their work." via their popular Download.com service.
The one million songs hosted on MP3.com will still be removed, but CNET has promised "a new service similar to the old MP3.com early next year, offering free storage space, uploads and downloads for artists."
